18th Oct. PSI has different programs, one of these had impressed me very much, the program called Win-Win. The purpose is to create livelihoods in rural and peri-urban Myanmar by delivering life-saving and life-enhancing products to underserved communities.As the program´s name would suggest, the outcome is a real “Win Win.”
Villagers receive access innovative, affordable, high-impact products that promote better health and wealth; agents earn a steady income, gaining skills and confidence as entrepreneurs.
The Win-Win agentsdeliver health education and socially-impactful products to their communities. They sell a variety of products including contraceptives, nutritional products, water purifier, clean energy, hygiene products.
We visited the hub in Dedaye and one of the small villages in this area, where we had the possibility to interview the agent and the head of the village. Both of them are so proud to be a part of the Win-Win network, which helps the citizens.
